Don’t feel bad being one of those “multi-dog” households….we have 4 dogs, 3 gerbils and 1 rabbit!

As for God training me lately : it has been a HUGE blessing. I will tell you my US Army Reserves Chaplain assistant story the next time I see you at church. (The skinny- God called, I followed and at age 44 I am back in the Army Reserves as a chaplain assistant.) Following God has brought such peace!

This sounds like one killer brew! I am rather “lazy” and just use our KitcheAide 12 cup pot and our Columbian coffee. I also really like the coffee at Springdale Naz, especially the Kira Dark Roast.

Glad to have met up with you Sunday morning. You will love Springdale.

Hope to see you Wednesday; I am meeting with another Sp Naz member to talk about starting a Military/Veterans Ministry. I just re-enlisted at age 44 as a Chaplain Assistant in the US Army Reserves. Great story of obeying GOD. We can chat sometime.

Chris,

I like your interaction with the top 5. I used the assessment to hone in on things that are more natural to me, give me energy, and more skillful performing. I also use it as an evaluative tool for my soul; if I find myself doing things outside of these 5 strengths the majority of the time, i find myself more drained.

Of course, this is balanced with the awareness of weak spots with the strengths (competition, for example), but I view it in terms of what my tendencies are, I can be a better gift to the world.

Good thoughts.

I totally agree with your point on hospitality Chris. I can see many “hobbit” traits in myself, especially as it pertains to not wanting to be inconvenienced by others, only being concerned with my own comfort & fearing anything adventurous.

Hey Chris,
I’m a student in a campus ministry, and I’ve been trying to help my ministry be revitalized and spirit-filled, but I lost hope because of my campus minister. He is a self-professed Christian, but I’ve talked to him many times and he seems much more of a Gnostic. I don’t care to stay in an atmosphere that doesn’t elevate or even teach Christ to the students; I feel like we wallow in a cloud of uncertainty because “everyone has different interpretations” and things like miracles “can now be proven scientifically”. I felt scared at one point because if a demon were to manifest during one of our dinners they would probably call an ambulance or the police instead of praying. Do you have any advice for me? Thank you.
